   Xbox One Controller Stick Drift

   I keep getting stick drift in every Microsoft brand controller I buy after about a year's worth of use. Its beginning to feel like I have two subscriptions: one for online access, and another yearly payment to buy a functioning controller.

   Microsoft support hasn't helped at all. I've been through the Xbox support system multiple times now, and each time they give me the exact same nonanswers and runarounds before ghosting me. They either tell me to take it to a repair shop or buy a new one,
   but the repair shops say it's more expensive to fix the hardware problem than to buy a brand new controller, and why would I buy ANOTHER controller if the same thing is going to happen again?

   Has anyone else had a similar issue? If so, how did you resolve it? If nothing else, can anyone recommend a third-party controller with quality hardware and a halfway decent lifespan?

   That is strange. I've only ever had stick drift on my old 360 controllers. I don't know if the standard Xbox one controllers have it, but the Xbox Elite controller sticks can be adjusted to have dead zones to avoid drift. Check in the Xbox Accessories
   app if you can adjust it for normal controllers.

   Have my elite controller set up and still drifts. Can't do standard controller. Did notice they drift worse on any COD.

   I have two controllers BOTH with drift issues. The one left thumb-stick drifts upwards and the other one has a right thumb-stick drift issue that drifts upward.

   Like what the heck am I suppose to do. #SMH

   Unfortunately stick drift is something that happens to almost every controller with analogue sticks after some time. I feel like the fact that a lot of games require you to click in the sticks for in-game actions has resulted in stick drift becoming more
   common more quickly in these last two generations of consoles. I've had to replace a few controllers on the PS3, Xbox 360 and Xbox One because of stick drift. As Dazza said, you can fix the controllers, but that requires taking them apart and doing some soldering.
   Quickest and simplest solution is getting another controller, which really sucks because they're not cheap.
