Destiny 2 How To Get Vex Mythoclast

The Vex Mythoclast Catalyst is the seventh piece of Vex technology you will come across in the game. It is a highly powerful weapon that is only available after you fill out the Vex puzzle at the beginning of the game.

Before we get into this, please note that the Vex Mythoclast Catalyst can be acquired by following the steps outlined in the video above, so this guide will be covering the steps to unlock it from the in-game menu. The same method can be applied to opening up any other Vex weapon, so feel free to experiment a bit.

The Vex Mythoclast Catalyst is one of the rarest loot items in Destiny 2, and it's no wonder why. The Vex Mythoclast was the fan-favorite exotic weapon for many, but to get it you need to defeat the Vex on Venus, a planet that is essentially a candy store for loot hunters. To make matters worse, the Mythoclast is a legendary weapon that has an incredibly limited supply of ammo, which means players have to hoard ammo in order to be able to use it.

It can only be obtained by defeating Atheon, the River of Time, in the Vault of Glass raid, and even then the chances of obtaining it are slim. If you're one of the lucky ones to have Mythoclast in your inventory, it's time to earn his catalyst. This is a separate challenge that requires a second raid and five memory and secret-finding exercises. Today we're going to explain how to get your hands on the Vex Mythoclast Catalyst and what it does when it's ready.

Destination 2: Where to get Vex Mythoclast Catalyst

Scattered around the glass vault are five hidden plates. They are activated when the guardian holding the Mythoclast steps on it, and make oracles appear around the plate. Your group must kill the oracles in the order they appear before the gong sounds. The early records have only a few slowly multiplying oracles, while the later records have up to seven rapidly multiplying oracles. Fortunately, there is no penalty for failure, except to start over. You'll know you've found the Order when the message A Chorus Whispers from the Depths of the Vault appears on the left side of your HUD.

The first badge in the Catalyst quest can be found at , right from where you first appear in theraid. Complete the encounter, then go to the area on the far right, near the cliff. In the cave with the plaque.
In the cave to the right of the plate. Leave the cave and go to the white rock area with fog where the enemies appear. To the right of the misty spawn area is another level with a cave. The oracle appears from behind.
At the white stone structure just outside the spawn area. The oracle appears under the canopy.

The second record is only in thememory itself. Follow the path until you come to a large green ravine. Jump into the pit and turn around immediately. You will see a small hole in the metal structure that leads to a hidden path. Follow the new path and jump down until the Templar Well area marker appears. The plaque will be in the blue room next door. OraclesPlate 2 calf in the following places and order:

Underneath and behind the secret vault in this area. You will see a light platform behind the tree trunk. Jump on it, then on the platform behind it. The oracle appears at the exit.
Just above the plate. To reach them, you have to climb the platform.
Directly in front of and above the plate. You'll see it shine when you're at the stove. Use the glow to reach him.

You will find the third plate after the fight against the templar boss. Go to the left side of the area and find a small hole in the wall. This opening leads to another secret chest, opposite which is another small opening blocked by a box. Destroy the crate and follow the cave system until you reach a large area with a Vex door on your left. The plate is behind the open door. D1 veterans will remember that there was an exotic secret vault here. OraclesPlate 3 spawns at the following locations and in the following order:

To the left of the door is a dark cave. Follow it until you come to a second cave with green moss on the floor, and look up.
Go back to the first cave and go left to the plate.
They will fall into total darkness. Make a 180° turn and the oracle will appear in the corner.
In the room with the plates, top left.
Same as 1.
Just after the oracle room, up and to the left.

The fourth plate is on Abyss, in the large area in front of the meeting place of Gatekeeper and Atheon. You're in the right place when you see multiple platforms appear and disappear. Don't ride on any of them. Instead, turn right at the top, jump over the ledges and follow the wall until you see a plate. OraclesPlate 4 spawns at the following locations and in the following order:

Go back to the entrance of the chasm and look to the left. Follow the platforms to the long, dark cave and wait for the spawn in the middle.
Go to the platform mentioned in point 1, then turn around and jump over the ledges until you can continue. Look in the hole to your left. The oracle is hidden in the lower corner.
Same as 1.
Go through the same dark cave as in step 1, but this time go to the hole at the end of the cave. On the right is a small ledge. Jump on it and go through the corner and lower level. The oracle appears in a dark corner.
The platform is located directly above the plate.
Same as 2.
In the air, to the right of the platforms leading to the plate.

The last plate lives in the same abyss as plate 4. You should see an inactive Vex Gate in the distance. The fifth tile is on the ledge to the right of the door, if you stand there and look into the well. You can jump to the plate location from the end of the dark cave mentioned in the section about plate 4. The oracles for Plate 5 appear on the edges next to the plate, but appear incredibly fast and in multiple waves. I used the yellow corridor of the Gatekeeper as a landmark from the top of the column. If you've done everything right, you'll see the text of the chorus as in all the other steps, plus an extra line of text: The oracles are saturated. The whispering turns into a final chorus. Now go to the Vex gate, which is now active and shows an image of the Whispering Worm mission on the moon Io. Go to your character. You don't get access to the chest, but you do get a Vex Mythoclast Catalyst. To unlock the full power of the catalyst, you need to get 700 kills with Mythoclast. Once activated, the stability of the weapon increases with the number of reload batteries. And that's it. You must complete the entire quest in one raid, but following these steps will give you a fully charged Vex Mythoclast and a catalyst.
